Our schools operate in challenging social contexts, with over half of our year 11 students eligible for Pupil Premium funding – double the national average. NST students are also more likely to have entered secondary school at least one level behind their peers.
Despite this, our academies achieve great results:
- North Liverpool Academy achieved a 21% increase in the number of students achieving 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths against a national picture of declining results.
- Liverpool Life Sciences UTC bucked national trends with A/A* grades 10% above national averages in Maths.
- The Studio School demonstrated exceptional sector related results in its specialisms. IT, Creativity and Entrepreneurship were particularly strong with ICT students achieving 85% and Enterprise students achieving 100% A*-C equiv. Students of Graphics, Art, Film and Creative Media achieved 84% A*-C.
We’re proud that our academies have achieved some strong early results. We’re also proud of the NST team who have worked exceptionally hard to develop an innovative education which enables students not only to succeed academically but also to achieve exceptional life changing opportunities. Our two start up academies received Good with Outstanding Features at their first Ofsted inspections. Our newest academy converter is yet to receive its first inspection.
