The Big Bang Fair North West 2016

This week, we joined thousands of schools and businesses from across the North West at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre for The Big Bang Fair 2016.

Celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), the Fair showcased exciting theatre shows, interactive workshops and careers information from STEM professionals.

We were fortunate enough to have our very own stand at this year’s Fair and it did not disappoint! Setup facing our friends from Farm Urban, we invited students in to complete the speed-science challenge.

With prizes being awarded to the fastest entry, we saw hundreds of students from schools across the region try their luck.

A student from Dayes High School, Maghull topped the leader board for a large portion of the day. But a late entry from a Halewood Academy student saw Dayes finally knocked off the top spot.

It was brilliant to see so many students, from schools across the North West, eager to take on the challenge!

A big thank you to our amazing science teachers, who worked tireless throughout the day to ensure everyone had the opportunity to take on the challenge.

Also a huge thank you to our group of student helpers, who drove a steady stream of visitors to our stand!
