CISCO Success

Year 13 student Joseph has passed his industry CISCO CCNA2 exam with absolutely flying colours achieving 95%.  It’s the highest grade achieved in the history of the course at North Liverpool Academy and it’s the highest achieved nationally for a first attempt.

The CISCO branch of qualifications are industry standard, taken by professional experts whilst in position. Our students are in a very privileged position to be completing them at this stage – for those in Sixth Form it is the equivalent of a Level 3 qualification and with this Joseph can embark on a higher apprenticeship or degree programme.

Joseph will now endeavour to sit CCNA3 and 4 with his teachers (Mr Close and Mr Friel) full encouragement and support, he has so far been a credit to year and a prime example of what hard work can achieve.

Initially Joseph had no interest in the course or sitting the qualification, he had joined the Academy seven weeks into the autumn term and was unsure if he wanted to take the course. He was the first student to pass the CCNA 1 exams after Easter 2015 and now sits at the front of the class.

Mr Friel commended Joseph’s spirit for learning saying: “He has turned out to be the highest achiever in the class completing his CCNA 2 practical with flying colours and always hungry for more – I’m very proud and pleased for him.”
