Last weekend, we invited three hundred Cub Scouts from associations across the North West into the UTC for a day of workshops and activities.
Staff, students and associates of the UTC planned and delivered the sessions, which challenged the Cub Scouts to complete mini-tasks that would allow them to achieve badges, such as astronomy, living things, environmental conservation and digital citizenship.
We called upon our friends from Farm Urban to deliver the environmental conservation session. They explored the idea of sustainable living and discussed the science behind our helix inspired aquaponics system.
It was brilliant to see so many young people enjoy the day.
