Six Year 8 students from Kingsway Academy have attended the Faraday Challenge Day at Upton Hall School.
They were given a challenge to design and build a model based on a genuine need of a UK company. With roles assigned for each member of the team, they worked hard to complete the task and meet a deadline.
The Kingsway Academy model looked great and included a complete electrical circuit, meeting the specification set by the company.
Each of the six teams from schools across the Wirral then presented their design to the judges and the rest of the students. The Kingsway Academy team were praised for their articulate presentation and sold the design well to the judges.
A good day was had by all and it was a great opportunity for students to experience science and engineering outside the classroom.
