On the 17th & 18th February, The Studio School launched its first Ideas Factory event. Aspiring young people interested in becoming the next generation of app developers, coders and gamers were invited into the school for a two day technology binge.
The day began with a round of speed networking. Business people, entrepreneurs and coders got to know each other in The Studio’s sports hall with some quick fire questions about each other’s professions.
There was a huge variety of workshops, ranging from leading shopping website Very.com to entrepreneurs such as Mills, founder of digital design studio Ustwo and creator of the Wail Trail app – which received more than 100,000 downloads in its first week.
Then after all the fun and games everyone gathered in the cinema for a lecture from digital artist, Brendon Dawes.
The day finished with more digital workshops, lectures and for the grand finale, MINECRAFT!
It was an amazing two days and there will be more Idea Factories to come!
