North Liverpool Academy recently teamed up with other schools in the Northern Schools Trust to head to the ski slopes in Le Corbier, France.
Our students got to spend five days on the slopes in the French Alps where they were taught how to ski by qualified instructors. Each day took them around the mountains of Les Sybelles where the students got to practice their snow plow, parallel turns and for the advanced group, backwards skiing! During the evenings, students all took part in many activities; bum boarding, quiz night, games evening, movie night, crepe evening and pizza evening. They all had a great time with their friends and all came away with a certificated award for their ski ability at the end of the five days and some even got a dodgy ski goggle tan to show off!
All students from the four schools behaved impeccably throughout the trip, they showed great tenacity whilst learning how to ski and their attitude was outstanding throughout. All students were a credit to North Liverpool Academy and the Northern Schools Trust and should be very proud of themselves.
