Primaries Holiday Camp

This Summer prospective North Liverpool Academy students from over 30 of our local Primary School’s joined the school’s dedicated staff and local community volunteers to enjoy a summer of fun and further academic study in our Summer Camp.

For two weeks these wonderful young people took part in activities ranging from Arts and Crafts, Computer Club, Inventors Corner and a Flying Machine Science Spectacular, amongst many others. Within the literacy element, the young people took part in an activity to write “Notes to your Future Self”. The creative, entrepreneurial and scientific juices were flowing throughout the weeks and we are very excited to see where these future Richard Bransons, Roald Dahls and Brian Coxs end up in the future!

The excitement didn’t end there as students also participated in a number of trips to Gulliver’s World, Water Sports at Albert Dock, Delamere Forest and for the big finale, Chester Zoo. The students were a credit to themselves and the school as they behaved themselves impeccably and thoroughly enjoyed these days out.

Academy member of staff Mr Friel commented “this two week holiday course offers a fantastic opportunity to develop techniques and talents, meet their future peers and prepare the children for the new school term.”

It was a brilliant two weeks and we were so pleased to see those familiar faces join us on the first day of term this September.

If you are a prospective Academy student keep your eye out for our upcoming Halloween Holiday Camp which will take place in the October Half Term. It is open to Year 5 and Year 6 students and is completely free. More details to follow, so keep your eyes peeled!
