The Studio Showcase 2016

Last Thursday, we held our annual Studio Showcase; an exhibition showcasing the talented work of our students in game & app design, art, graphics photography and film.

As well as parents of the students, The Studio Showcase was attended by a number of high profile partners from the Digital Sector. Lucid Games, Red Ninja Studios, Sentric Music and Citrus Suite were just a few of the partners in attendance, all interested in viewing the excellent work produced by our students.

During The Showcase, guests were treated to a whole host of exciting projects being exhibited. One of which was, SWOL (Social Work Out Location), a community based web page built as a hub for users to discuss fitness work-outs online

Mental health was the topic for a number of the students PBL projects. They had produced a selection of short films, aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues in society. These short films were showcased to guests in the cinema. Take a look at, Empty, one of the films showcased at the event.

Unique artwork was a feature throughout The Showcase, with students exhibiting their brilliant work to guests.

The retro video games area proved particularly popular during The Showcase, as students and partners played against each other on a number of old-school consoles.

All in all, The Studio Showcase was huge success! Students, staff, partners and parents came together to view some of the brilliant work produced by our students. As well as exhibiting their work, The Studio Showcase also served as an opportunity for students to network with partners; some of who may became their employers in the near future.

Thanks to all who attended!
