The Kingsway Academy has successfully hosted its first annual Summer Fair, with the local community attending in great numbers to join in with a wide range of activities.
From bungee trampolines to a climbing wall, bush-craft workshops to face painting; there was something for everyone to enjoy. Refreshments on the night included a BBQ and open grill, fresh smoothies and a cake sale.
Students arranged a plant sale using the items grown in the Academy polytunnels, whilst staff and students hosted a book sale and hook-a-duck. Academy PE Teacher Miss Faulkner organised the Summer Fair and said:
“We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to welcome not only our current students and future Year 7 students, but the local community as a whole into the Academy. We are now looking forward to our next event in December – The Kingsway Academy’s “Winter Wonderland.”
