UTC scoops two major awards

Liverpool Life Sciences UTC is proud to announce that we’ve won two SSAT Educational Outcome Awards. These celebrate our ranking in the top 10% of non-selective schools nationwide, and achieving higher-than-the-national-average for applied general subjects at Key Stage 5.

The Schools, Students and Teachers network (SSAT) hands out awards based on its Educational Outcome Database, which combines DfE and Ofsted reports for all state-funded schools within the UK. It analyses and compares various schools across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

SSAT awards celebrate high standards of teaching and learning as well as outstanding support and inspirational leadership from students, parents, staff and governors in their network.

“Isn’t it lovely to be able to recognise the exceptional hard work from our staff and students with not just one but TWO SSAT awards,” says Jill Davies, the UTC’s principal. “We are so happy to be recognised as one of the best performing non-selective sixth forms in England with significantly higher than average student progress and student attainment. We are proud of our team of colleagues and kids everyday and can’t wait to be back together to celebrate this properly.”
